Frequently asked questions
What exactly is included in a maintenance visit?
Each maintenance service is a full professional pass: dust cleaning of all internal components, cable management, cooling system check (with thermal paste replacement if needed), hardware inspection, OS/driver/firmware updates, and a 1-on-1 consultation with the engineers. The same level of attention we gave your PC the day we built it.
How often should I get my gaming PC professionally maintained?
For most gamers, once a year is the sweet spot. If you game daily, stream, or use your PC for content creation, the 2-Year Plan (one service per year, two years in a row) is the better fit and saves you $109 vs buying two 1-Year plans separately.
Will the maintenance void my warranty?
No. The maintenance service complies with all existing warranties on individual components and on the PC as a whole. Your warranty stays fully intact.
Are component upgrades included?
Labor for component upgrades is free while your PC is in for maintenance. The cost of new components is a separate expense. Our engineers will walk you through which upgrades would actually help based on how you use the PC.
Are BIOS updates part of the standard service?
BIOS updates are not part of standard maintenance, but they can be requested. Because BIOS updates carry a real risk of bricking the motherboard, we require a consultation and a signed waiver before performing one. We're upfront about the risk because we have to be.
Who pays for shipping?
You pay to ship the PC to us. We pay to ship it back. If you'd rather not arrange shipping yourself, we sell pre-paid shipping labels for an additional fee.
What if I didn't buy a maintenance plan when I purchased my PC?
No problem. You can add a plan to your account anytime. Just reach out to our customer service team. We'll get you set up.
What about packaging? Do I need the original box?
Yes, please retain your original packaging when you buy a maintenance plan. The original box, foam, and anti-static materials are engineered to protect your PC during shipping. If you damage your PC by improperly packaging it, you're responsible for those damages, so it's important to follow our shipping instructions exactly.
